Courtney Hilborn - Founder/President/CEO

Courtney Hilborn is a dedicated advocate for military, veterans and their families, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to her role as the founder of Warrior Avenues. As a former Family Readiness Officer for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and a military spouse to a USMC veteran, Courtney possesses a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by our military.

With a commitment to service ingrained in her values, Courtney has been actively involved in various military and veteran non-profit organizations. Her tireless efforts have not only supported her fellow military families but have also contributed to the broader well-being of the military community. Through her experiences, Courtney recognized the need for a platform that could provide valuable resources and support to military, veterans and their families.

Motivated by her desire to make a lasting impact, Courtney founded Warrior Avenues. This organization serves as a beacon of support for military, veterans and their families, offering a comprehensive range of resources and programs. Courtney's vision for Warrior Avenues is rooted in her own journey as a military spouse and her belief that knowledge and support can be powerful tools for navigating the unique challenges faced by military families.

As a mother of two, Courtney's passion for supporting military families extends beyond her professional life. Her love for spending time outdoors and fostering connections within her family, including pets, exemplifies her deep appreciation for life's simple joys. 

Courtney's involvement with various military and veteran non-profits showcases her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact. She is an active member of Operation Showers of Appreciation, Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Dogs on Deployment, and several other organizations.

Jason Hilborn - Secretary

Jason's path to the Board of Directors is etched with the indelible marks of his dedication to service, both in and out of uniform. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Jason brings a wealth of leadership, discipline, and commitment forged through his military experience.

Beyond the boardroom, Jason is a devoted family man, finding immense joy in spending quality time with his children. Whether it's engaging in family activities or sharing the wonders of the great outdoors, his commitment to creating lasting memories speaks volumes about his values and priorities.

Jason's passion extends to camping—a pursuit that not only rejuvenates but also fosters a deep appreciation for nature's beauty. 

In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Jason possesses a unique and skilled hobby—he is a talented artisan in crafting custom axes. His craftsmanship extends beyond the aesthetic, as he intricately wraps handles with 550 cord, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail and a flair for the artisanal.

Jason's commitment to community and camaraderie is further exemplified by his active involvement in the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Through these organizations, he continues to serve and advocate for the well-being of fellow veterans, embodying the principles of brotherhood and mutual support.

Diane Wendland - Treasurer

Diane's journey to the Board of Directors is a testament to her diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to service. Growing up in a family with a strong military background, Diane's father served in the Navy, instilling in her values of discipline, dedication, and a deep sense of community.

Driven by a profound desire to make a positive impact, Diane has devoted a significant part of her life to nonprofit work and philanthropy. Her passion for giving back has led her to collaborate with various charitable organizations, where she actively contributes her time, expertise, and resources to uplift and empower those in need.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Diane finds immense joy in family bonds and cherishes moments spent with her grandchildren. Her dedication to family values and creating meaningful connections extends to her role on the Board of Directors, where she brings a holistic perspective that combines empathy, strategic thinking, and a genuine concern for the well-being of others.
