AMVETS is proud to offer scholarships/grants to our nation’s Veterans, Active Duty, Guard and Reserves; their Spouses as well as their Children and Grandchildren.
AMVETS scholarships are designed to fulfill a financial gap after all Federal/State grants and/or scholarships available to an eligible applicant have been exhausted.
All CGMA members are eligible for Education Loans on behalf of themselves, their spouse, and/or their dependent children under 23.
Eligibility is based on the status of the CGMA client and the student as of the first day of the course.
The student must be either:
Enrolled in a college or university undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.
Pursuing a multi course Vocational and Technical Training (VoTech) program approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs or Department of Education and designed to prepare the student for entry into a career field.
Seeking a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Completing a correspondence course that is part of a college or university degree program or VoTech certificate program.
Education Loans cannot be used for:
Dependents in high school or grade school.
The Florida ACME proudly recognizes our military members and veterans with $1,000 scholarship opportunities in three different categories annually.
Applicants must meet one of the three criteria: reside in Florida; be permanently stationed in Florida as part of either the active duty, guard and reserve component; or enrolled at a Florida institution of higher learning during the application period of the award year (January 1st through April 1).

Children of active duty, retired or qualifying deceased Sailors and Marines ● Must be under age 23 by September 30 of current academic year ● Surviving children of Sailors and Marines who passed on active duty or after retirement
Spouses of active duty or retired Sailors and Marines
Active duty Sailor or Marine enrolled in a MECEP/MECP program is eligible for the loan
Applicants Pursuing: • Career & Technical Education • Associates degrees • Bachelors degrees • Masters degrees
