C.A.S.T for Kids Foundation

The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation enriches the lives of children with special needs, supports their families, and strengthens communities through the sport of fishing.

We empower families and communities to celebrate children with special needs, making these children feel valued and loved so they can overcome limitations and be successful.

Operation Autism is a web-based resource specifically designed and created to support military families that have children with autism. It is the shared product of the vision and energy of the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and the funding support of the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation. OAR’s intent in developing this resource is to:

Provide military families touched by autism with access to quality, evidence-based information about the disorder,

Identify sources of treatment and support on and off base,

Offer tips for dealing with some of the unique challenges military life poses for military dependent children with autism and their families,

Inform parents about their child’s educational rights and offer some practical strategies for success in the classroom.

Modifying Veteran's Homes For Safe, Handicap-Accessible, Independent Living

Through this program we provide home modifications for veterans (of all eras) with disabilities and active duty military/veteran dependent children with special needs.

These modifications usually include constructing wheelchair ramps and roll-in-showers, widening doorways, and lowering cabinets and countertops.

We focus on serving our veterans, whether the disability is due to combat-related actions, non-combat injuries, illness, or age. You served our country and deserve our Nation's respect and support.
